Luma (5e Race)

From D&D Wiki

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Racial traits generally do not improve beyond 5th level save for damage dice (dragon breath, eg.). Also, since these are star guys, should they not have limits on what they can wear due to their body shape? Their size category is also listed as just small, but they can apparently be tiny also (which comes with its own potential bag of worms).

Luma[edit]

Lumas are star-like, floating, multicolored celestial creatures.

Physical Description[edit]

Unlike most Stars, they have a rain drop-like shape and come in many colors, with the most common one being yellow. Its eyes, which takes up almost all of the top half of it's body, is its most prominent feature sporting black color and small, white pupils. They are much like Power Stars, but are more circular and have the ability to talk. The Lumas are each very friendly and assist Mario during his quest. Lumas have the ability to transform, from minor planetoids to entire galaxies.

History[edit]

Lumas are a race of multicolored stars that are first found at the Comet Observatory in Super Mario Galaxy, these small creatures were born into a multitude of roles like becoming companions for a familiar Italian protagonist, or becoming entire galaxies! They are usually found flying around the galaxies like your regular shooting stars, so if you ever have a wish, shout it out to an oncoming Luma flying across the sky!

Society[edit]

Lumas, like other races, contribute to their own small society in the sky. They slowly all become the galaxies we all know, to shooting around the skies with their friends. They are quite nice creatures when saved, and at one point even fly around close to the Earth because of an attack from Bowser in Super Mario Galaxy 2!

Luma Names[edit]

Lumas themselves though having multicolored skin, have a large picked out name for them, though no gender is specifically needed for any name.

Male Names Lubba, Mario, Lama

Female Names Rosalina, Polari, Lamalee
