Evasion. When the aquamancer is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.

Innate Spellcasting. The aquamancer's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 12). The aquamancer can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: water walk, water whip
1/day each: crushing wave, misty step

Resilience. If damage reduces the aquamancer to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is from a critical hit. On a success, the aquamancer drops to 1 hit point instead.

ACTIONS

Fists. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage.

Water Blast (Recharge 6). The aquamancer shoots a 30-foot line of water that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in this line must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 9 (2d8) bludgeoning damage plus 4 (1d8) cold damage and if it is Medium or smaller it is pushed up to 10 feet away from the aquamancer and knocked prone. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and isn't pushed or knocked prone.

BONUS ACTIONS

Finish Him! When the aquamancer reduces a creature to 0 hit points with a melee attack on its turn, the aquamancer moves up to half its speed, recharges and uses its water blast attack or one melee attack.

REACTIONS

Water Substitution. When the aquamancer is hit by an attack and would take damage, they decrease the damage by 12 (1d8 + 8) and teleport up to 10 feet in any direction to an unoccupied space. A humanoid pillar of water is left in their place, and they take any remaining damage from the attack.

Once thought to have been exterminated, the Lin Luei's aquamancers have instead remained hidden, submerged beneath the water in secret strategic locations, waiting for the right moment to strike.
