Lesser Wisp[edit]
Tiny fey, unaligned Armor Class 13 (natural armor)
Saving Throws Dex +4 Orbital Bond. While within 5 feet of an allied creature, the wisp begins orbiting the creature, occupying the same space. When the orbited creature moves the wisp moves the same distance without provoking opportunity attacks. Avoidance. If the wisp is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails. Illumination (Solar Only). The wisp sheds bright light in a 5-foot radius and dim light for an additional 5 feet. Darken (Lunar Only). Within a 10-foot radius around the wisp bright light becomes dim light and dim light becomes darkness. ACTIONSFlare (Solar Only). Ranged Spell Attack: +4 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) radiant damage. Crescent (Lunar Only). The creature the wisp is orbiting gains 1d6 temporary hit points until the start of its next turn. REACTIONSSeethe (Solar Only). When the creature it is orbiting takes damage, the wisp can empower the next Flare attack it makes, causing it to deal an extra 3 (1d6) radiant damage. After an attack is made this way, the wisp dies. Reflect (Lunar Only). When the creature the wisp is orbiting is hit by an attack, the wisp grants it a +2 bonus to their AC until the end of the turn. After this bonus is granted, the wisp dies. |
The lesser wisp, taken inspiration from the game Risk of Rain 2's wisps but intended as it's own companion creature to the coming Grove Tender class I'm making. |
