Mr Fingers by Tarol Hunt |
Although theses creatures are vaguely humanoid, they appear more as a web of dozens skeletal limbs that twitch about in a sickening fashion with a multitude of hands that move as if each one were a separate entity, dragging along a frail, spindly body that twitches as it moves. The creatures head is gaunt and thin, it's eyes are unblinking and large, with a face that's shrived and wrinkly. In place of teeth there are long fingers and a hand replaces the creature's tongue. The creature's nose is missing, leaving only a hole. The finger horror has multiple "elbows" on each limb which break repeatedly as they are bent or as weight is placed upon them. At the end of every limb, there is either a large hand (Major Hands, eleven fingers) or a small hand (Minor Hands, five fingers).
Combat[edit]
Liquid Rot (Su): Anyone touched by the horror (fort save DC 16 if touched by a minor hand or minimal contact, DC 19 if touched by a major hand or severe contact) risks contracting a form of accelerated decay which turns that immediate area of the body into a semi liquid state. If a victim fails three consecutive fortitude saves, then they will begin to fully transform into the liquidy goop, resulting in death.
Shriek Attack (Su): The creature can emit a high-pitched shriek that causes anyone within 30 feet to become stunned for 1 round (fort save DC 14 to avoid being stunned).
Fear Aura (Su): Anyone seeing a finger horror for the first time must make a will save of DC 14 or run away in panic for 1D4 rounds.
