Work In Progress

Legion[edit]

A male elf stands at the precipice of a deep ravene, after a short meditation he sprouts wings and simply flies to the other side of the ravene.

A female tortle beats an assassin in combat and claims a lock of hair as trophy, the next day she survives an explosion, completely unscathed.

A dragonborn consumes the heart of a displacer beast, copies of themselves start surrounding them.

Collectors of powers[edit]

Legions are warriors that use trophies they took from allied or enemy creatures to increase their personal arsenal of features. Legions can originate from individuals in many different ways, they might (for example) form because of (self-)experimentation, because of a diversion in their biology (for example, it might be an inherited power), or because of a magical incident. One thing that unifies them all is their ability to consume a piece of another creature in order to expand their own list of features. For some legions it becomes difficult to keep track of their sense of self, the ever increasing list of foreign powers makes it increasingly imporant for a legion to keep track of who and what they are.

Creating a Legion[edit]

When ceating a legion, think about why your and how your character is able to use other creature's features. Ask your DM about how this class fits into the world. For example, in a high-fantasy setting your character might use an innate form of magic to absorb the essence of others. In a low-fantasy setting your character might instead learn these features by simply watching and learning from others.

Why does your character use their power? To help others? To slowely but surely become more powerfull? Both?

How does your character use their power? Are they more combat focussed? Do they use their powers to support the rest of your party?
