Legendary Blazer (5e Subclass)
Legendary Blazer[edit]
Fighter Subclass
You are a member of the prestigious Kurogane clan. A clan known for creating some of the most powerful blazers (mystic swordsman) in the land. Although unfortunately for you unlike your clans reputation you aren't really all that prestigious in the grand scheme of things. Your powers are decent but nothing noteworthy to write home about and quite frankly all of your siblings are better in every way. But you have something they don't possess and that's unparalled determination and a heart made of iron. Use your latent ability to rise to the top. Claim your spot as head of the Kurogane clan and become the world's best blazer.
- Summoning Intetsu
You are a member of legendary Kurogane clan. Even though you aren't a S-Class Blazer, you're still of royal blood nonetheless. This unique skillset allows you to summon your custom soul sword Intetsu - a raven black katana with a brown hilt and a crow black design along the handle. This special tsuba katana is made from your own magic and very soul, giving it special properties and effects.
This weapon is considered a martial melee weapon, with the finesse and versatile (1d10) property and causes 1d8 slashing damage on a hit. It counts as a silvered and magic weapon that grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls. This bonus increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to +2 at 7th level and +3 at 13th level.
If Intetsu is broken or shattered, you can summon another over the course of a short or a long rest.
- Perfect Vision
Starting at 7th level, you can use your perfect vision ability to completely see through your opponent's defenses, grasping their fighting style and using your naturally incredible insight to grasp their personalities and tendencies, allowing you to mimic them in an instant and plan your defense accordingly. As a bonus action, you can choose one creature you can see within 30 feet. Until the start of your next turn, whenever the target makes an attack against you whenever or you make an ability check to escape that target's grapple, add 1d6 to your roll.
Maintaining perfect vision requires concentration, as if you were concentrating on a spell. This effect ends if your concentration is broken or if you make an attack against a creature other than the target of your perfect vision.
- Ittou Shura
At 10th level, through amassing all of your body's vigor and stamina, and by ignoring your natural survival instincts, you tap into your deep reserves of magic power, bringing out your full strength and latent potential. Focusing the magic energy within yourself and thrusting it outwards further magnifying its effect. As a bonus action, you can activate your Ittou Shura state, gaining the following benefits for the duration:
- Your movement speed increases in 15 feet.
- You gain resistance to non-magical slashing, piercing and bludgeoning damage.
- Your melee weapon attacks cause additional 1d6 force damage on a hit.
- You have Advantage on you concentration checks to keep your Perfect Vision.
This effect lasts for 1 minute, but end earlier if you are incapacitated or die. You can also choose to end this effect earlier as a bonus action. When the duration reaches an end, you suffer 1 level of exhaustion.
- Ittou Shura - 3rd Degree
Starting at 15th level, when you use your Ittou Shura, you gain a new additional benefit from it: "Stamina Degree". You can choose to not suffer the a level of exhaustion after leaving Ittou Shura.
Once you use this ability, you can't use it again until you finish a short or a long rest.
- Ittou Rasetsu
Finally at 18th level, you learn your second Noble Art and the true form of Ittou Shura. While using Ittou Rasetsu you shut down all his five senses and bodily functions, mustering all your strength for a brief moment. When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you cause additional damage equal to 6d10 from the weapon's type.
Once you use this ability, you can't use it again until you finish a short or a long rest, unless you choose to suffer 1 level of exhaustion to do so again.
