Krypt creatures are the pitiful creations of Shang Tsung, the ones who as result of the neglectful conditions of the flesh pits, have managed to escape through the crypts or subterranean sewers beneath the mad sorcerer's dark dungeons. Tortured Whispers. So horrifying are the tortures and experiments that have been inflicted upon these creatures, that their mere recitation, even as a whisper, holds the power to drive those who hear the echoed words to madness. Frail Bodied. As a result of the mad sorcerer's experiments, krpyt creatures are lacking of practically all vitality and strength, having been drained of their life essence in order to fuel Shang Tsung's more favored creations. Krypt creatures are accordingly frail and vulnerable to bludgeoning damage, their bones far too weak to withstand devastating blows. Knowing this, krpyt creatures prefer to lurk in the dark undetected for as long as they can, using their whispers to frighten those who would approach or harm them, the two terms having become synonymous to them long ago. |
