Kamikaze Drone (5e Creature)
Kamikaze Drone[edit]
Medium construct, lawful neutral Armor Class 20 (natural armor)
Saving Throws Dexterity + 8 ACTIONSLock-on. The kamikaze drone locks onto a specific creature or object which it is aware of. As long as it is locked onto a creature or object, it is aware of the exact location of the creature or object as long as it is within 10 miles of the kamikaze drone. A kamikaze drone can only remain locked onto one target at once, and it stays locked onto the target until the kamikaze drone dismisses this feature (no action required) or it leaves the range of the kamikaze drone's lock-on. Ram. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage, and the kamikaze drone uses Self-Destruct. The creature that was hit by the kamikaze drone's ram attack is not allowed a Dexterity save to reduce the damage taken. Self-Destruct (1/day): The kamikaze drone explodes. All creatures within a 30-foot radius of the kamikaze drone must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 27 (6d8) bludgeoning damage and 27 (6d8) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The explosion deals double damage against objects and structures.

Kamikaze drones are short-range robotic missiles which are designed to pursue a target and destroy it with a powerful self-destruct attack, killing themselves in the process. They are equipped with an artificial intelligence which allows them to evade simple tricks, operate without guidance, and distinguish friend from foe. Instead of conventional sight, kamikaze drones perceive their surroundings with a sophisticated combat radar system that allows them to track enemies over a long range. As a fail-safe to prevent accidental demolition, kamikaze robots do not explode unless they are intentionally triggered. If they are killed before they can use their self-destruct attack, they simply fall apart harmlessly. Kamikaze drones are approximately 6 feet long, 1 foot in diameter, and weigh around 150 pounds. |
