Kaen[edit]

Human Variant

Kaens are humans who had their eyesight stolen by a fiend. This could have been the result of a parent offering their youngest child for wealth, or an adventurer wondering into the wrong tomb. Regardless of how it occurred, you now see the world very different compared to everyone else.

The following traits replace the Ability Score Increase from the human race.

Ability Score Increase: Your Wisdom score increases by 2.

Foresight: You are proficient in the Insight skill.

Soulsight: You are blind but have a 120 feet of blindsight. In addition, to its benefits you can see the souls of creatures within range, allowing you to know the race of a creature as if you could see them as well as their attitude towards you. Your ability to see souls and gauge their attitude towards you is blocked by total cover.
