Jaeger (5e Equipment)
JaegerMartial Ranged Weapons
Inspired by the Mongolian recurve bow, the Jaeger is a bow designed for the skilled archer and the silent assassin. Made of composite materials, the bow is incredibly strong and offers a draw weight unparalleled in penetration power. Fitted with blades on either end made of hardened steel, the user can swiftly and gracefully carve their masterpiece. A knuckle duster has also been built into the handle of the bow that allows the sharpshooter to get up close and personal. If you can hear a whistle in the wind, you're already dead. Special. When you make a melee attack with the Jaeger, you ignore its ammunition property and either attack with the blades to deal 1d6 slashing damage on a hit, or the knuckleduster to deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage on a hit. You can use the Jaeger as a martial ranged weapon. If you do, it uses the ammunition property, uses arrows, and deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit. Expensive. A character can never gain this weapon as starting equipment from their class. Back to Main Page → 5e Homebrew → Equipment → Weapons |
