Itmes was born from the First Compromise, a living representation of history and future, born to ensure nothing would be forgotten, that history would not repeat itself. Itmes is the archivist of the gods, charged with ensuring that history is never forgotten, that the gods never stray from the path. He also is charged with ensuring that mortals never stray from the true path. His Forgotten keep track of all that happens on earth, sending dreams and visions to those in need of guidance. Itmes is fairly reclusive, and never interacts with mortals directly. In fact, aside from Ahmis, Itmes interacts with the other gods the least. His knowledge of the past grants him the ability to see into the future, but he rarely chooses to share his visions. When Itmes first came to be, he was tormented by his knowledge of the future, his knowledge that sharing what he knew would only torment others. Seeking a solution, he went to Ahmis, seeking wisdom. Ahmis, understanding the curse that knowledge could be, agreed to help him. Ahmis brought Itmes into the void, where Itmes began crying drops of light, filling the Void with thousands of stars, each one a different vision of the future. Some of these visions are so bright that their light can be seen from outside the Void, filling the night sky with stars. Followers of Itmes will often claim to be able to look into the stars and catch glimpses of Itmes’ visions from them.
Itmes is the god of dreams, prophecy, and time. He uses knowledge of the past to glance into the future, seeing hundreds, if not thousands of possible outcomes. He often directs his disciples to appear in the dreams of mortals in order to guide them. In battle, Itmes uses his power to weave through the battlefield, avoiding every blow aimed for him, and even influencing his opponents to cause them to miss. He can also create searing blasts of starlight, each one carrying with it a horrible vision to afflict its target. He has no weapon, but wears a chain carrying his tome and keys. Itmes’ tome of knowledge has the entirety of all history and knowledge recorded in it, and his keys can open mystical doors to anywhere, even other times and dimensions.
Itmes often appears as a small man in a simple robe. A hood hides his face most of the time, and it is difficult to discern him from his disciples oftentimes. When his face is visible, it is constantly shifting, changing at first to appear like people you have seen in your past, and eventually shifting to the faces of people you have yet to meet.
