Indra is the king of the Vedic deities, and one of the most powerful and influential as well. At the dawn of civilization, Indra slew a mighty serpent, Vritra, using his thunderbolt weapon. For all his strength, Indra is quite known for his illicit relations with mortal women, and is often chastised by Shiva for it. There are no powerful artifacts associated with Indra, but he can offer great combat prowess with a special drug that he himself took before slaying Vritra.
