Improved Shield Evasion [General, Fighter]

Improved Shield Evasion is like Shield Evasion, except that even on a failed saving throw the character takes only half damage.
Benefit: You must be using a heavy shield or tower shield to use this feat. If exposed to any effect that normally allows a Reflex saving throw for half damage, you take no damage with a successful saving throw, on a failed saving throw the character takes only half damage. If you roll a natural 1 on your saving throw, both you and your shield take the full impact of the blast. On any other roll, the shield escapes unharmed.
Notes

Like all objects, shields take half damage from electricity and fire and only one-quarter damage from cold.
