Impaler

Prerequisites: Ability to use polearm or reach weapons Strength of 18 or higher.
Your strikes penetrate through the metal, flesh and bones of your enemies, and your brutal strength allows you to lift your foes from the ground and seal their fate at the tip of the spear, You gain the following benefits:

  • You score a critical hit on a roll of 19-20. If your critical threat range is 19-20 or higher already it increases by 1.
  • On a critical hit you can impale the creature with your weapon; While impaled the creature is considered restrained; while you have a impaled creature on your weapon every attack against creatures that are not the impaled creature have disadvantage; When you move, you can drag or carry the impaled creature with you, but your speed is halved, unless the creature is two or more sizes smaller than you; Also you can only impale one creature at each time.
  • A impaled creature can use its action to escape. To do so, it must succeed on a Strength (Athletics) check contested by your Strength (Athletics) check, or a Constituition saving throw against (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Strength bonus modifier); Using the second method the creature also takes an additional 4d8 slashing damage while trying to break free of the weapon.
