Igneous Suffocation (5e Spell)
From D&D Wiki
3rd-level Evocation | |
Casting time: | 1 action |
---|---|
Range: | 120-feet cone |
Components: | V, S, M (coal spark) |
Duration: | Instantaneous |
The spark of coal will be the fuel for the ignition of fire and infernal sulfur that will travel a great distance. Your breath sends a torrent of burning flames through your hands toward a creature within range, dealing damage and making it difficult to breathe. When you cast the spell, you aim at the target creature, unleashing a blast of intense flame.
All targets on range must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 4d6 fire damage and is short of breath. While breath-impaired, the creature's movement speed is halved and it suffers disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks that involve physical exertion or concentration.
At Higher Levels. When the spell is cast using a spell slot of 5th level, the damage increases to 12d6 fire damage. Slot of 7th level, the damage increases to 20d6 fire damage, and the creature's breath is compromised for 1 minute. Slot of 9th level, the damage increases to 28d6 fire damage and the creature suffers disadvantage on all Constitution saving throws while its breath is compromised.
