Hitman Style

Prerequisites: Strength or Dexterity score of 14 or higher
The hitman style, one of the legendary styles of boxing, consists of leaving the left arm hanging at waist level, while raising the right. This style provides a great defense and attack to the unarmed fighter. Thanks to this style, the following benefits are obtained:

  • Jabs: while you are not wearing armor or wielding a weapon or shield, your unarmed attacks deal increased damage. The size of your damage die increases by one step (for example, from d4 to d6).
  • Passive defense: as a reaction, you can increase your AC by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus until your next turn.
  • Aggressive defense: when a creature makes a successful melee attack against you, you can use your reaction to make an unarmed attack against that creature, and if this unarmed attack hits, the triggering attack is considered to have missed and all subsequent attacks against you from that creature will be performed at disadvantage for that turn.
  • Footwork: as a bonus action you can move 10 feet to an unoccupied space without generating attacks of opportunity.
