Early Human Settlement in Apalachia 1601-1674[edit]
Jamestown and the Early Settlements[edit]
Starting in 1604 in Jamestown, European humans begin settling all up and down the East Coast of North America from New Orleans in the South to Montreal in the North, aided by the Dwarven Vikings of Vinland and Iberians of Hispaniola. At first things are peaceful, and a human elven society begins to develop resulting in the birth of many of the half-elves.
Starting in 1611, the European humans begin bringing large numbers of African human slaves to build plantations in the south, while the gnomes and humans work together to build more trade-based societies in the north.
Starting in 1618, Pilgrim humans fleeing religious persecution in North Europe begin arriving in New England, founding the City of Boston and settling surrounding lands.
Gradual Escalation of Migration, Invasion, and Conflict[edit]
Starting in 1622, minor conflicts begin to erupt between the European human settlers and the Elven Indian denizens of the east coast of North America.
1622-1664, conflict between the humans and the Elven Indians gradually escalates.
1664 New Gnomesterdam Becomes New York[edit]
In 1664, New Gnomesterdam is captured by the Britonic Empire, and has its name changed to New York, although the gnomes tend to call it 'Gnome York'. The Britonic Empire sets up fiefdoms thorughout the area of Hudson Fjord, but leave the Gnomes generally in charge of New York City proper however.
1764-1773, The Britonic Empire abrogates all treaties of peace that the Dutch Gnomes have made with the Elven Indians and begins aggressively invading the Hudson Fjord and areas around it.
The Elven Indians wake up to the danger of the ultimate human conquest of North America.
A Century of Conflict and Invasion 1675-1763[edit]
1675-1686 King Philip's Wars[edit]
The European Human invaders defeat and drive out all of the Elven Indians east of the Dwarven Viking strongholds in the Adirondaks all the way from Montreal to the gnome controlled areas around New York City. The humans have firearms, and the elves have magic.
1687-1701 A Generation of Relative Peace[edit]
The wars subside as millions of European and African humans flood into the east coast setting up plantations, settlements and farmstead throughout the coastal plain and the Appalachian mountains.
1702-1713 Queen Anne's War[edit]
Now the European Human invaders turn their attention to the south. Wars erupt all along the coast from New Orleans all the way to New York (as it is now called), driving the Elven Indians west of the Appalachian mountains and killing many. There are massacres and bloodshed on both sides. This war is much bloodier than the earlier King Philip's wars. Half-elves are now reviled by both sides.
1715-1751 Tuscarora Wars[edit]
Elven Indians retake the lowlands of the Carolinas, Georgia, and Virginia and progressively drive the human survivors into the Appalachian mountains. The surviving European Humans found the Appalachian kingdoms of Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, East Tennessee, West Tennessee, East Virginia, and West Virginia. Slavery is destroyed in the south, and the surviving black and white humans band together for mutual survival, building castles and stronghold throughout the southern and central Appalachians, and call themselves the Dixies.
1751-1754 The Founding of Indiana, the great elven empire[edit]
The Elven Indians join to form a grand North American empire of resistance and great city after the pattern of the invaders called Buffalo Road, great city of the empire of Elven Indiana, located where Indianapolis, Indiana is in our world. The Elven Indiana empire streches from the Gulf of Hispaniola in the south to the Bay of Hudson in the north, and from the Atlantic ocean to the foothills of the Mountains of Rock. The Elven Indians plan the demise of the of the European invaders.
1754-1763 The French and Elven Indian Wars[edit]
After a century of conflict, the elves lead by chief Pontiak finally drive the white human invaders back into the sea. None-the-less they are unable to remove the humans from their Appalachian mountain strongholds. The French ally with the Elven Indians (wood elves) against the Britonic Empire, and they are allowed to keep New Orleans and Montreal and their surrounding lands as French cities in the Americas. It 1776 Philadelphia finally falle to the Elven Indians. The humans retreat into the Appalachian mountains founding the Appalachian kingdoms of Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland.
The Conquest of Europe by the Elven Indians 1764-present[edit]
1764-1812(the present) The Invasion of Europe[edit]
Seeing that Europe is simply going to get more and more powerful as time goes on, the wood elves invade Europe, allying with the Celts and the Basques against the French and the English and the Spaniards.
