Heatmor[edit]

It draws in air through its tail, transforms it into fire, and uses it like a tongue. It melts Durant and eats them.

Heatmor is a bipedal pokémon resembling a pear-shaped anteater. Its narrow head connects smoothly with its tapered neck, ending with its narrow mouth where it spews flames. It has a multicolored, thin pelt of fur that covers its skin. Its face is brown while the rest of its body is red with yellow stripes, sharing the appearance of molten lava. On its lower abdomen, back, and underside are raised, brown-colored ridges that resemble pipes, leading to its pipe-like tail. Its tail is dented upward and has a hole in it, similar in appearance to a car muffler. It also seems to serve the same purpose as a muffler, being able to expel gases, although it is able to take in air as well. When this is clogged, the heatmor is often ill. Heatmor's claws, on both its feet and hands, are a dull yellow color and on its wrists are brown, raised, dented ridges.

History[edit]

The heatmor are pokemon native to the Unova mountains, near the Elite Four. They were pushed out from their original home near the apex following the constructions of humans. Their bodies were evolved from a supposed volcanic cavern that used to lay under the steep hill. It has since gone dormant. In the ensuing cooling, durant came to develop hard shells. Heatmor ate lava and held it in their bodies to consume durant by melting their shells, eventually becoming fiery furnaces themselves.

Society[edit]

Most heatmor are solitary hunters, much like actual anteaters. They are known to mate only once a year, when they have a meeting within the caverns of Victory Road. After that, the mother takes the baby and separates from the father. Heatmor babies mature in about only two years, after which they leave their mothers and strike out on their own.

Heatmor Names[edit]

Like most pokemon, heatmor don't really use names among themselves that much. Sometimes they do call each other grunting names, accentuated by bursts of flame from their snouts.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2 and one other score of your choice increases by 1.
Age. Heatmor mature at around 2-3 years of age and live up to around 30 years.
Alignment. Most heatmor are neutral. They keep to themselves and occupy their own business without others.
Size. Heatmor usually grow to around 4 to almost 6 feet tall. Your size is Medium

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Burning Jealousy. When you see and are aware that a creature regained hit points within 15 feet of you, you can unleash your pent-up flames. All creatures within 15 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d10 fire damage. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage. You can use this trait once, regaining use after you finish a short or long rest.
Flame Body. Your hot body can bathe in fire with little consequence. You are resistant to fire damage.
Fire Lash. You know the thorn whip cantrip and can cast it without material components. When you cast this cantrip, it appears as a fiery thread from your mouth instead of your claws and deals fire damage instead of piercing damage.
Slash. You can use your claws, which are natural weapons, to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength or Dexterity modifier, whichever is higher.
