Heatmaker Frying pan: Heatmaker items are favored by armies and travelers wishing to avoid the detection campfires might allow. They are also great for use in harsh cold environments. The metal portion of each item magically heats at the will of the user. Each has a temperature range up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit . Thirty seconds are needed to heat every 100 degrees Fahrenheit after room temeperature. Contact with the metallic surface, whether intentional or not, causes 1d4 points of fire damage at around 150 F and an additional 1d4 fire dmg every 100 degrees Fahrenheit . Another thirty seconds are necessary for cooling to a temperature safe to touch. Characters who consume food or liquid heated by any heatmaker utensil needs not make fortitude saves in cold environments for 24 hours. The food or liquid maintains this effect only while it maintains the warmth from the utensil.

This frying pan has a non-metallic, usually dark ebony wood, handle inlaid with an average sized fire opal. The steel pan enameled black with dark red bands along its inner and outer edges.
