Headband of Sorcerous Knowledge: This item is a headband of steel, silver, or gold with a single precious stone. While worn by a sorcerer, it imparts the wearer with the knowledge of one sorcerer spell, which the wearer may cast with his own spell slots as if the spell were one of his spells known acquired by gaining levels in the sorcerer class. Because the wearer uses his own spell slots to power this spell, he gains no benefit if it imparts the knowledge of a spell too powerful for him to cast.
Each headband imparts the knowledge of a single spell. Headbands with lower-level spells tend to have smaller gems and simpler designs, while higher-level headbands have larger gems and more elaborate metalwork. Similar items exist for bards, giving the wearer knowledge of one bard spell.
