This page is of questionable balance. Reason: While it's a cool idea, there's a reason 5e doesn't have any feature-stealing features. Consider a 1st level human fighter picking up shadow's Strength Drain (which can easily kill a low-Strength creature in 2 rounds) or a will-o'-wisp's Incorporeal Movement (effectively becoming invincible so long as there's a wall to walk through), or both.
You can help D&D Wiki by better balancing the mechanics of this page. When the mechanics have been changed so that this template is no longer applicable please remove this template. If you do not understand balance please leave comments on this page's talk page before making any edits.

He Who Fights Monsters
When you kill a monster, you can make an Intelligence saving throw with a DC of 10 + the monster's CR. On a success you permanently gain one feature or action the monster possesses for use yourself. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus although you can forget a feature or action you've learned over the course of a long rest if you don't have any remaining.
