Hawlucha[edit]
Physical Description[edit]

Hawlucha are small, bipedal avians. Their red, cape-like wings are connected to their tails with green undersides and small clawed hands. They have red chest feathers, a white abdominal area and legs with small yellow feet. Green feathers on it's face create a mask-like design with an orange stripe down the middle, as well as orange rings around their eyes. They have small, red beaks and a white patch underneath it. They have three orange tassel-like appendages jutting out of the back of its head. Lastly, their eyes have black sclera and large yellow irises.
Some hawlucha look drastically different from normal specimens. These hawlucha have black feathered wings with purple undersides instead of red and green, red feathers on their body instead of white, and green appendages on their head instead of orange.
History[edit]
Hawluchas were first discovered in the Kalos region, but can also be found on the tropical region of Alola. Interestingly enough, in Kalos, they are primarily found outside what could best be described as a 3,000 year old graveyard with large, uncarved stones marking the graves. It is unknown why they tend to be found in this area in particular.
Stories tell of a hawlucha who safeguarded a forest from creatures who meant to do harm to the weaker residents of the woods. Later, after passing on the responsibility of guardianship to a machamp who happened to be the forest's previous guardian, this hawlucha joined a young boy and his friends on their travels.
Society[edit]
Hawluchas tend to get along with most other creatures. They love a good fight, and especially enjoy going up against opponents who are stronger than itself, especially while flying so as to show off its graceful maneuvers. Sometimes this causes them to develop an ego, resulting in them showboating during a fight which then causes them to get into a pinch. Despite this, they do not usually pick fights.
Hawlucha Names[edit]
Hawlucha names are usually Auran, though those who choose to live in human society often take Common names. Such hawlucha will usually name themselves after famous wrestlers and fighters, and will often mimic the fighting style of their namesake.
