The Hate Soul class is defined by their deep-seated resentment and aggressive combat skills. Making a Hate Soul[edit]

Abilities: The most important attributes for this class are Strength and Charisma, reflecting their physical power and ability to manipulate others through fear and intimidation.
Races: Any
Alignment: Any
Starting Gold: 1d12x10 gp.
Starting Age: The normal age for this class should be Moderate (such as a fighter). This ensures the character has had sufficient experience to master their abilities. Alternatively, younger characters may apply the simple age modifier (such as a rogue).

Class Features[edit]
All of the following are class features of the Hate Soul.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Hate Souls are proficient with all types of armor and can use any weapon.
Hateful Strike (Ex): This feature grants the Hate Soul a +2 bonus to attack rolls when initiating an attack against a foe with more hit points than them.
Malevolent Heart (Su): Once per day at 1st Level, when the Hate Soul faces a fear effect, they can ignore it and gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls and saving throws for 1 minute. At level 5, this ability can be used twice per day, and the bonus increases to +4, at level 10 this ability can be used three times per day, and the bonus increases to +6, at level 15 this ability can be used four times per day, and at level 20 this ability can be used five times per day, and the bonus increases to +8.
Hate Manifestation (Su): At 3rd level, the Hate Soul can manifest a weapon made of pure hatred. They can choose between a Hate Sword or a Hate Axe. The Hate Sword lasts for 2 minutes and deals 1d8 slashing damage. The Hate Axe lasts for 2 minutes and deals 1d10 slashing damage. The character can maintain concentration to sustain the manifestation, and they can dismiss it as a bonus action.
Vengeful Charge (Ex): At 4th level, the Hate Soul gains the ability to charge without provoking attacks of opportunity, and they gain a +4 bonus to attack rolls when charging.
Wrathful Shield (Su): At 5th level, the Hate Soul can conjure a shield made of their anger, providing a +4 bonus to AC for 1 minute. This can be used once per day.
Nemesis (Ex): At 5th level, and every five levels thereafter (10th, 15th, 20th, etc.), a Hate Soul chooses a specific species as their nemesis. This intense enmity grants the Hate Soul a +4 bonus on all attack rolls, damage rolls, skill checks, and saving throws against creatures of that species. The chosen species must be one that the Hate Soul has encountered in their adventures. Once selected, this species cannot be changed.
Unyielding Hatred (Ex): At 6th level, the Hate Soul becomes immune to charm and compulsion effects.
Intimidating Presence (Ex): At 7th level, the Hate Soul can use their action to intimidate all enemies within 30 feet, causing them to become shaken for 1d4 rounds. The save DC is 10 + the Hate Soul's level + their Charisma modifier.
Fearful Leader (Ex): At 9th level, the Hate Soul's allies gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls and saving throws against fear effects when within 30 feet of the Hate Soul.
Vicious Inspiration (Su): At 10th level, the Hate Soul can inspire allies with their malicious intent. Allies within 30 feet gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls for 1 minute. This can be used once per day.
Iron Will (Ex): At 12th level, the Hate Soul gains a +4 bonus to Will saves.
Soul Corruption (Su): At 13th level, the Hate Soul can touch a target and force them to make a Will save (DC 10 + the Hate Soul's level + their Charisma modifier) or become cursed, suffering a -2 penalty to attack rolls, damage rolls, and saving throws for 1 minute. This can be used once per day. The Hate Soul can use this ability an additional time per day at levels 17 and 19.
Vicious Stand (Ex): At 15th level, the Hate Soul gains a +4 bonus to AC and attack rolls when they have less than half their maximum hit points.
Aura of Despair (Su): At 20th level, the Hate Soul exudes an aura of despair. Enemies within 30 feet must make a Will save (DC 10 + the Hate Soul's level + their Charisma modifier) or become frightened for 1 minute. This can be used once per day.

Hateful Strike: The bonus from Hateful Strike continues to increase by +2 every odd level after 20th.
Rage: The Hate Soul continues to gain additional uses of Rage, gaining one extra use per even level after 20th.
Bonus Feats: The epic Hate Soul gains a bonus feat (selected from the list of epic Hate Soul bonus feats) every three levels after 20th.
Epic Hate Soul Bonus Feat List: Armor Skin, Damage Reduction, Devastating Critical, Dire Charge, Epic Endurance, Epic Prowess, Epic Toughness, Fast Healing, Great Constitution, Great Strength, Overwhelming Critical, Superior Initiative.

Religion: Hate Souls often venerate deities of war, strength, and destruction, such as Gruumsh or Erythnul. Their devotion is driven by a desire for power and revenge.
Other Classes: Hate Souls typically have tense relationships with more disciplined or law-abiding classes. They often find common ground with Barbarians, Fighters, and Rogues.
Combat: Hate Souls thrive in the heat of battle, using their rage and hatred to fuel devastating attacks. They serve as frontline combatants, seeking out the strongest foes.
Advancement: Many Hate Souls pursue greater physical prowess, multiclassing with Barbarian or Fighter to enhance their combat abilities. Some might dip into Rogue for added stealth and precision.

Daily Life: A typical day for a Hate Soul involves rigorous training, hunting for food, and seeking out opportunities for battle. They are always on the lookout for those they can challenge and defeat.
Notables: Tharkul the Ravager, an Orc Hate Soul, is known for his unmatched fury in battle and his relentless pursuit of vengeance against those who wronged him.
Organizations: Hate Souls rarely form large organizations, but they can be found in warbands and mercenary groups that value strength and brutality.
NPC Reactions: Most NPCs are wary or outright fearful of Hate Souls, preferring to avoid interactions with them due to their unpredictable nature.
Hate Soul Lore[edit]
Characters with ranks in Knowledge (local) or Knowledge (history) can research Hate Souls to learn more about them. When a character makes a skill check, read or paraphrase the following, including information from lower DCs.
