From D&D Wiki
Harlok[edit]
Alignment. neutral evil
Domains. Forge, Strength, War
Divine Rank. Lesser Deity
The orc god of the forge, emerging from Harlok, the legendary orc blacksmith and warlord, who's steel legions wrecked havoc throughout the local landscape, and permanently establishing the orcs in that region. Residing in the demiplane known as Grubern, where rivers flow with metal and the echoes of clanging hammers, melting flesh and screaming souls fill the complex of tunnels and chambers, they forge weapons of wonder and awe for the orcish armies when they can't make or pillage their own.
To gain the blessing of Harlok, you must sacrifice both metal and victims into one of Harlok's sacred fires, then speak of what you wish them to make. after 42 hours the item you seek, be it a magic sword, a suit of plate armour or otherwise will be belched out of the fire, with greater tools requiring more sacrifice.
A favoured orc can become an avatar of Harlok by sacrificing 42 dwarves to the fire before jumping in themselves. Harlok's avatar is that of a hulking suit of animated armour, made from an unknown metal only Harlok is know to create, housing a large mass of flesh and metal that constantly screams in fear and agony.
As a recently ascended deity Harlok lacks the widespread worship of the orc pantheon. His main influence and worship is to be found in the lands he conquered, where he is revered as much as Gruumsh himself. Clerics of Harlok are the ones tasked with maintaining the weapons and armour Harlok forges, and both maintaining and spreading his sacred fires. They are recognisable from the large sheets of metal they wear as cloaks, which almost always leads to them becoming crippled hunchbacks, and having their left hand replaced with a metal one, which they use in combat either as a bludgeoning tool or to cast spells through.
