Hard Labourer (Chainsaw Man Supplement)

Athlete[edit]

In a world that increasingly values intellect over muscle, you’ve carved out a life for yourself in the gritty, demanding world of manual labor. Your days are spent in the trenches of construction sites, warehouses, or the back alleys of city streets where hard work is the currency that keeps the wheels of society turning. Whether you’re swinging a hammer in a construction crew, working long shifts on a factory floor, or running heavy machinery, you understand the value of a solid day’s work. Your life is one of endurance, grit, and persistence, where the end goal is not lofty ideals, but getting the job done and providing for yourself and those you care about.

You may have grown up in a working-class family, where a good work ethic was instilled in you early on. Perhaps you learned your trade from your parents, relatives, or older friends in the community. Or maybe you found your way into hard labor by necessity—lost a job, had to leave school early, or simply saw that the path ahead was paved with concrete and steel rather than cushioned chairs and office desks. Regardless of how you ended up in this line of work, you’ve found a certain pride in it.

Skill Proficiencies: Athletics, Insight

Tool Proficiencies: 1 Artisans tool of your choice.

Equipment: 15gp, work uniform, a tool from your trade.

Feature: Endurance of the Grind[edit]

You have advantage on saving throws against exhaustion caused by physical labor, hunger, or extreme conditions. Additionally, you can travel for long stretches without needing to stop for rest, taking half the time needed for short or long rests. You can push yourself beyond normal limits without suffering the usual penalties, and you are adept at maintaining focus in difficult situations. If you ever need to perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting heavy objects or working for extended periods, you can do so for up to twice the usual amount of time before fatigue takes its toll.
