Half-Elves[edit]
Half-elves are not truly an elf subrace, but they are often mistaken for elves. Half-elves usually inherit a good blend of their parents’ physical characteristics.
Half-Human Elves—Racial Traits[edit]
Half-Human Elves are half-elves that were raised primarily by their elven parent.
- +2 Dexterity: Half-elves that live with their elven relatives are trained in the weaponry and learn the dexterity that it requires.
- Humanoid (Elf).
- Medium: As Medium creatures, half-elves have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
- Half-elf base land speed is 30 feet.
- Immunity to sleep spells and similar magical effects, and a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against enchantment spells or effects.
- Low-Light Vision: A half-elf can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. She retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
- +1 racial bonus on Listen, Search, and Spot checks.
- Weapon Proficiency: Half-elves receive the Martial Weapon Proficiency feats for the longsword, rapier, longbow (including composite longbow), and shortbow (including composite shortbow) as bonus feats.
- Elven Blood: For all effects related to race, a half-elf is considered an elf.
- Automatic Languages: Common and Elven. Bonus Languages: Any.
- Favored Class: Any.
- Level Adjustment: +0.
Scaling[edit]
At 4 HD
- Gain Weapon Focus for the longsword, rapier, longbow (including composite longbow), and shortbow (including composite shortbow) as bonus feats even if she do not meet the prerequisite.
At 8 HD
- Spell-Like Abilities: At will—Calm Animals, Goodberry, Speak with Animals. Caster level equal to the elf's HD.
At 12 HD:
- When wielding a bow (longbow including composite longbow or shortbow including composite shortbow), a half-elf may replace her Strength bonus to damage with her Dexterity bonus. Creatures immune to critical hits are also immune to this extra damage.
At 16 HD:
- Elf gain immunity to fatigue. Anything that would normally make a half-elf exhausted instead makes them fatigued.
At 20 HD:
- When wielding a bow (longbow including composite longbow or shortbow including composite shortbow), a half-elf may take 10 on any of it attack instead of rolling a d20 with said bow. They may also ignore cover (except total cover) or pierce Wind Wall.
Half-Elf Humans—Racial Traits[edit]
Half-elf humans are half-elves that were raised primarily by their Human parent.
- +2 Charisma: Half-elves that live among humans are very personable.
- Humanoid (Elf).
- Medium: As Medium creatures, half-elves have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
- Half-elf base land speed is 30 feet.
- Immunity to sleep spells and similar magical effects, and a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against enchantment spells or effects.
- Low-Light Vision: A half-elf can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. She retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
- +1 racial bonus on Listen, Search, and Spot checks.
- +2 racial bonus on Diplomacy and Gather Information checks.
- Elven Blood: For all effects related to race, a half-elf is considered an elf.
- Automatic Languages: Common. Bonus Languages: Any (other than secret languages, such as Druidic).
- Favored Class: Any. When determining whether a multiclass half-elf takes an experience point penalty, her highest-level class does not count.
- Level Adjustment: +0.
Scaling[edit]
At 4 HD
- +3 bonus skill point for 4th level.
At 8 HD:
- Spell-Like Abilities: At will—Calm Animals, Goodberry, Speak with Animals. Caster level equal to the elf's HD.
At 12 HD:
- Elf gain immunity to fatigue. Anything that would normally make a half-elf exhausted instead makes them fatigued.
- 1 extra feat at 12th level.
At 16 HD
- +3 bonus skill point for 16th level.
At 20 HD:
- 1 extra feat at 20th level.
