Yoshis are a species of dinosaurs with large noses, short arms, and friendly personalities. They are normally found in remote locations, where they live in peace with other inhabitants. Their diet consists mainly of fruit from tall trees, which they reach with their abnormally long tongues. Yoshis come in various colors. Green are the most common, but the colors can range anywhere from red to purple. Their colors don't really represent their rank in society, rather, their color represents their abilities. Green yoshis are known for their super long tongues (longer than most other yoshis). Adventurers that encounter them are greeted with a smile and a hearty welcome as the yoshis exclaim "Yoshi!" They aren't hostile, and will only attack when provoked. In combat, they use their tail and fists to protect themselves. Green yoshis in particular will attempt to swallow their foes, and then spit them back out at other opponents. If there are no more enemies and the yoshi still has a swallowed creature in its mouth, it will lay the creature out as an egg for later use (as a projectile). |
