Flutter Jump. The yoshi's jumping distances are equal to half its walking speed. Additionally, the yoshi can use its bonus action to add an additional 5 feet to its jumping distances. This benefit lasts until the end of the yoshi's turn.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The yoshi makes three attacks: one Tail and two Pummels.

Pummel. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) bludgeoning damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage.

Swallow. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d6) acid damage and the target is swallowed if it is Medium or smaller. While swallowed, a creature is restrained and takes 3 (1d6) acid damage at the start of its turns. The creature can force its way out of the yoshi's mouth by succeeding on a Strength (Athletics) contest against the yoshi, which uses the target's action.

Spit Up. Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (3d6 + 1) bludgeoning damage. The yoshi must have a target swallowed to use this attack. The once-swallowed target takes the same amount of damage as the target of this attack.

Egg Lay (Bonus Action). The yoshi lays an egg using a swallowed target. The target is encased in a Small egg and put in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the yoshi. While in the egg, the target is restrained and incapacitated. At the end of its turns, the target can make a Strength (Athletics) check with a DC of 12. On a success, the creature breaks free of the egg.

Egg Throw. Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (3d6 + 1) bludgeoning damage. The yoshi must have a target in an egg within 5 feet of it to use this attack. The target that was in the egg takes the same amount of damage as the target of this attack.

A Green Yoshi

Yoshis are a species of dinosaurs with large noses, short arms, and friendly personalities. They are normally found in remote locations, where they live in peace with other inhabitants. Their diet consists mainly of fruit from tall trees, which they reach with their abnormally long tongues.

Yoshis come in various colors. Green are the most common, but the colors can range anywhere from red to purple. Their colors don't really represent their rank in society, rather, their color represents their abilities. Green yoshis are known for their super long tongues (longer than most other yoshis).

Adventurers that encounter them are greeted with a smile and a hearty welcome as the yoshis exclaim "Yoshi!" They aren't hostile, and will only attack when provoked. In combat, they use their tail and fists to protect themselves. Green yoshis in particular will attempt to swallow their foes, and then spit them back out at other opponents. If there are no more enemies and the yoshi still has a swallowed creature in its mouth, it will lay the creature out as an egg for later use (as a projectile).
