A wolf with the Winged Creature template applied to it. Great winged wolves are big wolves with the ability to fly with large, feathery wings. They are migratory hunters, social in nature, and capable of traveling great distances with their wings, covering up to 650 km in a single day—thirteen times the distance of a typical wolf. They usually hunt in small groups, but a large pack can reach up to 30 individuals. At times, they may compete for food with griffins and other creatures. They are more intelligent than their smaller, wingless relatives, but they are also kept as pets and quickly learn tricks, or even trained for war mounts."
