Damage Resistances poison Amphibious. The goa'uld can breathe air and water. Death Throes. If the goa'uld dies while inside a host, it releases toxic secretions into the host's body. The host creature must make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw, taking 14 (4d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. ACTIONSBite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it is grappled, and the goa'uld can use its Infest action against it. Infest. The goa'uld forces a creature it is grappling to make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the goa'uld instantly burrows into the creature's body and merges with it, transforming the creature into a goa'uld host. Otherwise, a creature that fails its saving throw becomes restrained as the goa'uld begins to burrow into its body. The restrained creature must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn, transforming into a goa'uld host on a failed save or ending the effect on a success. A creature within 5 feet of the goa'uld can use an action to try and pull the goa'uld off before it enters the victim's body. To do so they must succeed on a Strength check contested by the goa'uld's Dexterity check. The goa'uld cannot infest constructs, fiends, or the undead.

Hailing from the furthest reaches of space, the parasitic goa'uld seek to impose their tyrannical will upon all existence. Serpentine Symbiont. In its true form, a goa'uld is an eel-like creature with piscine fins and a mouth consisting of four needle-like mandibles. It is a swift and graceful swimmer but slow and clumsy on land, and physically it poses little threat in and of itself. Parasitic Puppeteers. The goa'uld can enter the bodies of other creatures and take control of them. In humanoids they typically enter through the mouth or by burrowing into the skin at the base of the neck, where they quickly coil around the victim's spinal cord and tap into the central nervous system. A goa'uld has total control over its host and knows everything that they know. False Gods. The goa'uld confer numerous benefits to their hosts: perfect health, drastically increased lifespans, and the ability to make their eyes glow or speak with an unnaturally deep, booming voice. They use these unnatural qualities, and their mastery of esoteric technology, to pass themselves off as gods to the races that they enslave. Dynasties of Evil. the goa'uld have a genetic memory, passing their knowledge and experience down to their descendants. Every goa'uld is born knowing the deeds and glories of its ancestors, and the vast majority of them are predisposed toward evil as a result. |
