Skills Acrobatics +3 Mushroom-like. The gloomba can attempt to hide even when only lightly obscured when near mushrooms. The gloomba has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks to hide while near mushrooms. ACTIONSBite. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d6) piercing damage. Headbonk. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (2d6 + 1) bludgeoning damage. The gloomba must make a DC 10 Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. On a failure, treat this attack's attack roll as a natural 1.

Gloombas are goombas from caves and other underground areas. The lack of sunlight makes their skin a dark blue color, and the harsh nature of these environments means they are stronger and hardier than normal goombas. Gloombas are less likely to form societies than their lighter counterparts but can be reasoned with, though outsiders might have an uphill battle doing so. These creatures are considered the first taste of danger for prospective adventurers heading into the many unexplored caves of the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond. |
