The ghost of a long-dead predator. The largely nocturnal gibbergeist enjoys stalking smaller prey over extended periods of time, taunting and terrorizing children, animals or weaker monsters for several nights in a row before closing in. While its incorporeal nature allows it to hide anywhere, it is particularly attracted to small, dark spaces such as closets, behind furniture or from under staircases. It produces no light, but so completely absorbs light over its entire surface that it has a two-dimensional, silhouette-like appearance, typically completely black but capable of flashing more intense colors as a threat display or camouflaging mechanism. |
