Keen Smell. The giant armadillo has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Curl Up. After the giant armadillo takes the Dodge action, until the start of its next turn it cannot be reduced below 1 hit point by an attack, unless the attack deals at least 5 damage in one hit. It loses this benefit early if it takes any other action, or moves in any direction except directly down a slope.

ACTIONS

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) slashing damage.

A rare variety of armadillo, this giant variant can reach up to a whopping 5 feet long, sometimes weighing up to 180 pounds. Despite the impressive size, this critter retains the humble nature of most armadillos. When threatened, it curls into an armored ball and if left to its own devices it will almost never fight back. Its huge digging claws make for impressive weapons in the rare instance they're used offensively.
This beast predates on tiny grubs, bugs, slugs. Those fearsome claws are quite useful for digging up termite mounds, which for a giant armadillo is a bountiful feast.
