Keen Smell. The armadillo has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Curl Up. After the armadillo takes the Dodge action, until the start of its next turn it cannot be reduced below 1 hit point by an attack, unless the attack deals at least 5 damage in one hit. It loses this benefit early if it takes any other action, or moves in any direction except directly down a slope.

ACTIONS

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2 (1d4) slashing damage.

An armadillo is a rodent-like mammal characterized by a thick but somewhat flexible armor that covers most of its quadruped body, almost like scale mail. When threatened, it curls into a ball covered in this armor, which can be surprisingly difficult to penetrate. Without a supernatural influence like magic, they almost never fight back.
The most common form of armadillo is about 2 feet long and weighs around 10 pounds. They survive almost exclusively on grubs and other insects, and can thrive in climates warmer than many predators would prefer. Though cats are a more popular pet, armadillos can similarly be good to have around to keep bugs and other pests at bay.
