Gem Kind (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Gem Kind[edit]
The Gem Kind hail from the Homeworld Empire, a Religious-Military state, governed by the matriarchs known as the Diamond Authority. Gem society is divided by a rigid caste system, determining who you are and what you can be in life. Defective Gems (known as off-colors) and deviants are unacceptable by Gem society. The Homeworld Empire is ever-expanding in its never-ending conquest.
Gems reach adulthood at 18 years old, when they receive their gemstone. A Gem's gemstone is bound to them for the rest of their lives, being an essential part of their being and the source of their magic.
Physical Description[edit]
A pearl, a lapis lazuli, and a bloodstone.

Gems have a wide range of appearance traits. Despite resembling the human race, Gems present physical traits related to their gemstones. They may present colorful hair and eyes, marks on their skin, different skin coloration, and more.
History[edit]
The Homeworld Empire was founded by the first Matriarch, White Diamond. She then created the second and third Matriarchs, Yellow and Blue Diamond. Lastly, they created Pink Diamond, the youngest Matriarch. The Empire expanded through the continent, conquering everything at sight. The Empire expanded through the First Era, with numerous colonies. With the murder of Pink Diamond, the Homeworld Empire entered its Second Era.
Society[edit]
The Homeworld Empire follows a strict Caste system. A Gem is born into a caste, receives a gemstone correspondent to it, and never leaves it. It's considered taboo for Gems of different castes to have relationships. The law system of the Empire is equally strict, punishing even the smallest of crimes with an iron fist.
Gem Names[edit]
Gem society doesn't follow a gender-based name structure. With its little care for individuality, Gems are named after their social caste.
