The Awakening[edit]
The Forgotten One consciousness first emerged from the river Styx, when a certain long forgotten paladin of Torm, after learning of injustice that befell on his people, from the hands of the demons, couldn't quench his wrath anymore. Being an obedient follower of Torm, he decided that he will try to discard this knowledge in order to achieve eternal calm, which he could not achieve with his knowledge. The paladin found the ancient river Styx and he drank from it, erasing his memories. However as his memory perished, something deep within the river awake. Then Forgotten One began his life, forever seeking to avenge innocent ones who were too weak or afraid to do so. Since the Forgotten One awakened, each time when injustice befall on someone who couldn't exact vengeance and drank water from Styx, the memories and vengeance would belong to the Forgotten One. By choosing his believers, be it souls forever tormented by wrath of injustice or those who wished to right the wrongs in extreme ways, Forgotten One creates his Avengers - paladins that exact vengeance for those who can't. Each time a warrior who is deemed worthy, joins the ranks of Avengers, he must give part of his memories as a token of service to the Forgotten One in exchange for knowing of his existance and powers that come with it.
One With The River[edit]
The Forgotten One's sentience resides within the river Styx and Streams - weapons created by the Forgotten One himself. Each time enough memories of those who crave vengance concentrate, the new weapon is made - be it a sword, bow or even a staff. Then as the weapon is ready, it will usually float on top of the water near potiential Avenger, inviting him to join the service. Weapon usually swirls in a small vortex - Forgotten One symbol, however it never drowns.
Eternally Restless[edit]
Forgotten One shows himself in the dreams as the black vortex with red eyes, ever swirling, speaking in a chorus of deep voices at the same time. When it comes to his personality he is calm, collected but ever demanding. Each second that passes he feels the wrath of all those who are within him and as such he is only briefly satisfied when justice has been done. Usually when it comes to Avengers wielding weapons made partly of him, they can feel his emotions through the weapon itself - be it in form of silent whisper inside their head, warm handle or coldness.
Those Who Remember[edit]
Followers of the Forgotten One, are usually his Avengers or priests. When it comes to the first ones, they usually roam the world, seeking those that were harmed. Priests of the Forgotten One are usually a mysterious figures that travel on small boats on river. When they encounter someone, they usually act as merchants, offering not only normal goods, but also vials of water from Styx. They only offer a vial when they deem someone's pain worthy of vengeance.
