Flora Colossus

I am Groot
—Groot, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy

Physical Description

Flora colossus is a species of plant-like bipedal organisms, their hide is composed of wood dense enough and durable enough to form natural armor. Their tree-like form provides them great strength. They are able to lift many heavy objects including several men on just one arm. They have an amazing healing factor and have been shown to be able to regenerate entire limbs.

The flora colossus are tree-like beings with a past shrouded in mystery. Some say they come from a long-forgotten planet, while others theorize they are from a science experiment gone wrong.

The flora colossus people are of a calm and gentle nature despite their size and strength. The language of the flora colossus is almost impossible to understand due to the stiffness of the larynx that makes their speech continuously sound like they're saying "I am Groot" over and over again but are actually saying any number of things and people, who are oblivious to the subtle nuances of their speech misinterpret them as merely repeating their name. The only known circumstance in which they have said anything else is just "We are Groot."

Flora Colossus Names

There are only very subtle differences between the male and female Flora Colossus and in actuality is more a difference in personality than gender as they are asexual creatures. Examples of their names for both genders are: Groot, Shoot, Loot, Woot. (toorg, toohs, tool, toow)
