Unsettling. The first time a creature sees a pure form after each short or long rest, they must attempt a DC 15 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, they are frightened for 1 minute. They may retry this saving throw at the end of each of their turns.

Transform. As a bonus action, the pure form can transform to any other pure form type.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The pure form makes two attacks with its claw/spine needles.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) slashing damage.

Tank Form. When a stalker form has transformed into the hulking tank form, the following is changed:

The Tank form’s hit points become double that of the stalker it transformed from or quadruple if it transformed directly from a ranged form. Its Claw attack deals 34 (6d10 + 4) damage. It’s movement speed become 30ft.

Block. Action: The tank form uses one of its huge arms to block its head and other vital areas. It gains resistance to all types of melee attacks from its front but its movement speed is halved.

Ranged Form. When a stalker form has chooses to become a ranged form, the following is changed:

The Ranged form’s hit points become half of the stalker it transformed from or a quarter if it transformed from a tank form directly.

Spine Needles Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range (50/150), reload (5) one target. Hit: 26 (6d8 + 2) piercing damage.

Flood pure forms start out as basic stalkers, skittering across the ground. Stalkers are moderately difficult to kill, but become far more dangerous upon transforming into a ranged or tank form. Tank forms are hulking behemoths that soak up damage and attack with huge arm claws. Ranged forms are even weaker than stalkers but are often found in groups on walls and ceilings, and can bombard players with showers of sharp and deadly needles. Pure forms some of the strongest and most versatile creatures in the flood armada, strengthened by their ability to transform to and from any other pure form at any time.
