Flanked (5e Variant Rule)
From D&D Wiki
Flanked[edit]
Flanked is a condition.
- A creature is flanked whenever at least two enemy creatures are adjacent to it on two opposite sides.
- While a creature is flanked, any attack roll against it from a flanking creature has a +2 bonus if the attack roll doesn't already have advantage.
If in doubt, draw an imaginary line from the center mass of two adjacent creatures. If the line passes through the creature's space, that creature is flanked.
Immunity[edit]
Like any condition, a creature can be immune to being flanked.
- Any creature with the Keen Senses or Keen Sight trait cannot be flanked.
- Any creature with blindsight, tremorsense, or a plethora of eyes (such as a housefly or a beholder) cannot be flanked.
