Flail Dancer[edit]
“ | My speed, grace, and dedication are unrivalled | ” |
—MagicalFaeriePonies, half-orc hybrid fighter I barbarian |
Prerequisite: Any martial class; Flail Duelist Novice feat
Although many combatants who use weapons focus on their type of weapon, you take this to an extreme. Instead of learning new techniques, you prefer to practice your simplest attacks over and over, with a drive that borders on an obsession, until you are much faster and more effective with them than any other school of combat's members can. In battle, you are everywhere and you hit everyone, and it is dangerous to ignore you. Although very few people have the dedication to their style of battle that you do, those that see you fight can see yours in your grace, mobility, and speed.
Flail Dancer Dancer Path Features[edit]
- Unstoppable Skill (11th Level): You gain the following benefits:
- Once per round, if you score a 17, 18, 19, or 20 on a melee basic attack attack roll made using a flail and the attack hits, the target is dazed until the end of its next turn.
- You gain a +1 bonus to melee basic attack rolls while wielding a flail, but receive a -1 penalty to attack rolls while wielding any weapon that is not a flail, heavy blade, light blade, or spear.
- Whenever you slide a creature with a flail, you increase the distance of the slide by one square.
- Rapid Action (11th Level): When you spend an action point, until the beginning of your next turn, you may make a melee basic attack with a flail that you are wielding as a free action whenever you hit with an attack not granted by this feature (you are still limited to one free action attack on each of your turns).
- Ultimate Speed (16th Level): While wielding a flail, you have threatening reach, and you gain a +1 bonus to melee one-handed weapon attack rolls. You gain a bonus equal to the lower of your Strength and Dexterity modifier to melee weapon damage rolls made using a flail.
