Farrier

Prerequisites: Proficiency with Animal Handling and Smith’s Tools
While it might not be the most glamorous part of being an adventurer, making sure your mounts are well taken care of with proper hoofwear is essential to making sure they survive your journey with all legs working.

  • During a short or long rest, you can use Smith’s Tools and 5lbs of bronze, iron, or steel to make 2 Horseshoes per 1 hour of rest. Each Horseshoe weighs 2.5lbs.
  • You may install up to 4 Horseshoes on a hooved mount in 1 hour. If all their hooves are protected, increase their movement speed by 20ft and increase the damage they deal by kicking by 1d8.
  • You may use unattached Horseshoes as a ranged throwing weapons. They each deal 1d8 Bludgeoning damage with a range of 40/80. Strength is your ability score used for the attack roll. If you score a critical hit with a Horseshoe, stun the enemy until your next turn. Horseshoes may be retrieved and reused after throwing.
  • Once per long rest, you can sacrifice 1 unattached Horseshoe to add +2 to any saving throw roll.
