Enera the Oathkeeper[edit]

Alignment. Lawful Neutral
Domains. The Afterlife, Death, Honor, Oaths
Divine Rank. Greater Deity

Enera is a living embodiment of the oaths made by Order and Chaos, and the upholder of all oaths. She is the one who judges people after they die, using a magical glass to peer into their soul. There, she examines their soul, searching for broken promises. If a person has broken too many promises, they become a Shattered, and are sent into the fringe of the Void. If a person has never broken a single oath, and is a true person of incomparable honor, they become an Honored and are brought up into the heavens to live in paradise, as a reward for their honor. Anyone in between becomes a Specter, and are given three choices. A Specter can enter the service of Itmes and become a Forgotten, working in his grand library to watch over the world and ensure no knowledge is lost. If they choose this path, all of their own memories become forfeit and are removed from their mind. They can enter the service of Vavana and become a Brave, a mystical warrior in the legions of the gods. Should they do this, they will become stronger and faster, but memories of their past life become forfeit. Finally, they can choose to enter the coliseum of judgement, where they will face off against other Specters in a series of challenges meant to judge them on their physical, mental, and spiritual strength. Should they succeed in the coliseum, they become a Redeemed, and are able to enter the heavens. Should they fail, they become a Shattered, and are thrown into the Void. Enera famously tries to remain neutral, supposedly existing as a perfect balance between Order and Chaos. However, some believe that because of her particular composition that if the various agents of Order and Chaos manage to tip the scales either way, Enera becomes more tilted towards that side.

Enera is the goddess of honor before anything else, representing the importance of truth, and honor. She is the goddess of death as well, but not in the same sense as her daughter Eona. Eona is the actual reaper, whereas Enera is the manager, the queen of the afterlife. Enera wields Judgment, a sword made of ebony and ivory, that instantly judges a person’s soul when the blade draws blood, making them either into a Shattered or an Honored, if they have the soul for it. She also has her famous lens, which she can use to examine a person’s soul and search for cracks indicating dishonor.

Enera is a tall pale woman with a bald head. She wears black robes and carries her sword and lens with her always. Her symbol is a black and white scale, but this is actually misleading, as Enera has no such scale.
