Elven Bow Magic, Variant
Prerequisites: The ability to cast at least one spell, proficiency with bows, ability to speak Elven
You were trained by Elven archers to use a bow, harnessing magic to aid your shot. You gain the following benefits:
- Increase your Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma score by 1 to a maximum of 20.
- Whenever you are wielding a bow, as a bonus action, you may expend a hit die to enhance the bow, imbuing it with your magic. This enhancement will last for 1 hour and can be dismissed as a bonus action on your turn. While enchanted, you may treat this weapon as a spellcasting focus and use your spellcasting modifier in place of Dexterity when attacking using this bow. Attacks made with your enchanted bow will be considered magical.
- While wilding your enchanted bow, you no longer need normal ammunition and can now create and expend magical ammunition as part of your ranged attack. Weapons that need to be reloaded are considered always loaded unless you wish to use normal ammunition. In addition, when you hit a creature with a ranged weapon attack, you can expend one spell slot to deal 2d4 force damage to the target in addition to the weapon's damage. The damage of this feature increases by 2d4 up to a max of 10d4 per spellslot.
