Eira (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (spear), legendary (attunement required by a lawful creature) Eira is an exotic spear crafted from pure crystal, swirls of frost surround this wepon and it constantly feels cold to the touch. You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. It has all the functions of a typical frost brand weapon, as well as the following additional properties. Winter's Recall - When this spear is thrown, the wielder of this weapon may roll a d20 to instantly recall this weapon to their hand as a bonus action. On an even number, the spear returns, if not, the weapon's magic releases. See Frigid Temperatures. Ice Barrage - When Eira is thrown in 40 foot by 5 foot line, spikes of ice follow its path, any creature in the weapon's path must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 15) or be assaulted by ice, taking 1d12 + Dexterity modifier of cold damage. Frigid Temperatures - The weapon contains a resevoir of ice magic that can a freeze the ground for up to 30 seconds. The bearer may use a bonus action to plant this weapon in the ground and release the ice magic within. While planted, the ground in a 15 foot radius of this weapon becomes difficult terrain. Arachnaphobia - Eira secretly has a crippling fear of spiders, and as a result the weapon will literally pull back in its wielder's hand whenever hostile spiders are encountered. While wielding Eira, your weapon attacks have permanent disadvantage against spiders and driders. Sentience - Eira is a sentient lawful neutral weapon with an Intelligence of 16(+3), a Wisdom of 14(+2), and a Charisma of 18(+4). It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 80 feet. The weapon can speak, read, and understand Common, and can communicate with its wielder telepathically. While you are attuned to it, Eira also understands every language you know. Personality - Eira possesses the soul of a young, teenage heiress from a past age, presumably once a member of a long-forgotten noble family. Eira is often insistent on following rules and laws, and will typically favor actions that run parallel to that predisposition. It is also very picky in terms of who it is willing to attune with. Stick it in the hands of an inexperienced fighter, and it will waste no time in calling you a dunce, and berating you for your amateurish lack of form. Eira has a somewhat bossy attitude in general, though slightly less so towards its attuned wielder. It also insists on being cleaned on a regular basis, as it absolutely hates being left dirty for too long. If Eira isn't regularly cleaned every day and complimented, conflict arises by dawn the next morning. |
