Long ago, Odin defeated and banished several of his powerful enemies to the demiplane of Valheim. Separated from the world-tree, the new denizens of this prison plane would become known as the Forsaken. Eikthyr is one such Forsaken. In a past life he was a spirit creature, a guardian of nature and the wilds. However, he grew discontent with the shrinking wilds of the world, the hunting and domestication of his lesser brethren. He rallied vast armies of creatures and began to reclaim the wilds from the civilizations of man and even threatened the gods. For this, Odin struck him down. Now, Eikthyr sulks in the meadows of Valheim as a shadow of his former glory. |
