Large beast, unaligned Armor Class 14 (natural armor)
Skills Perception +3, Stealth +6 Ambusher. The eel hound has advantage on attack rolls against any creature it has surprised. Amphibious. The eel hound can breathe air and water. Keen Hearing and Smell. The eel hound has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell. Pack Tactics. The eel hound has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the eel hound's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated. Slippery. The eel hound has advantage on ability checks and saving throws made to escape a grapple. Trampling Charge. If the eel hound moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a melee attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the eel hound can make one melee attack against it as a bonus action. ACTIONSBite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage.

The eel hound is a large, amphibious creature that exhibits the ability to swim and run quickly. It is at least eight feet tall and roughly twenty-five to thirty feet long with dark green scales, except along its ventral side, from its jaw to its tail. The eel hound is green in color with a lighter shade on its underbelly, and a darker shade of green on top of its body. |
