Charge. If the duergar moves at least 20 feet straight toward a target, and then hits them with a hooves attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 9 (2d8) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Duergar Resilience. The duergar has advantage on saving throws against poison, spells, and illusions, as well as to resist being charmed or paralyzed.

Reckless. At the start of its turn, the duergar can gain advantage on all melee weapon attack rolls it makes during that turn, but attack rolls against it have advantage until the start of its next turn.

Sunlight Sensitivity. While in sunlight, the duergar has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The duergar makes two attacks: one with its battleaxe and one with its hooves.

Battleaxe. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) slashing damage, or 9 (1d10 + 4) slashing damage if wielded with two hands.

Hooves. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Javelin. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) piercing damage.

The bull centaurs are mutant monsters with the upper torso of a duergar and the body of a large bull. The armoured charge of the bull centaurs is one of the most terrifying sights to behold in the Underdark, even when you aren't on the receiving end of it. With little desire but for battle, they live for the thrill of the fight, the adrenalin of that first contact with their opponent. Deeper than just a love of conflict, it is part of their very being. With no opponents to vent their destructive urges on, they will turn on each other. Sometimes this will be in the form of competitions of skill or strength, but just as often it will be outright conflict between tribes of duergar with nothing more driving it than old slights or vendettas.

Champions of the Grey Dwarves. It is no surprise then, that they are often recruited by the more common duergar as formation breakers, able to smash through a shield line and open up a path to the duergar warriors on the field, if their charge doesn't take them right through, decapitating the head of the army before turning to charge right back at wherever the most resistance lies. Their origin is unknown, but many suspect they were creations of dark dwarven gods such as Laduguer or Deep Duerra, or even the fire bull god Hashut, duergar that had been punished or perhaps rewarded for their actions. Whatever the truth, they either no longer worship the old gods, or they do so through their actions, through death, carnage and fearlessness. None of this matters of course, to those caught in their assault.
