Ambusher. The drop bear has advantage on attack rolls against any creature it has surprised.

Frothing Strength. The drop bear doesn't have disadvantage on attack rolls with heavy weapons.

Spellcasting. The drop bear is a 5th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 13, +5 to hit with spell attacks), and it has the following druid spells prepared:

Cantrips (at will): frostbite, gust, thunderclap
1st level (4 slots): absorb elements, ice knife, thunderwave
2nd level (3 slots): barkskin, warding wind
3rd level (2 slots): call lightning, sleet storm, tidal wave

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The drop bear makes two attacks, one with its light hammer and one with its scimitar.

Light Hammer. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) bludgeoning damage.

Scimitar. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) slashing damage.

REACTIONS

Sky Drop. When the drop bear falls and lands within 5 feet of a hostile creature, it makes a melee weapon attack against that creature. If the attack hits, the drop bear takes no falling damage and the attack deals extra damage equal to the falling damage that would have been taken.

Despite the fanaticism running through drop bear society, and the downright zealotry running through the most committed drop bears, drop bears lack conventional "priests" or other religious leaders—in fact, their scriptures are written in plain text Drop Bear, not even using old-fashioned language. The void left by this lack of a priesthood is filled by drop bear shamans, powerful druids who draw their power directly from the essence of the storm. The drop bear god, Calabera, has no special control over storms, but the land of Calavera is full of the storm energy necessary to fuel their power. Shamans serve as the main war mages in a drop bear war band, as Archivy magic tends towards support and Carpentry magic generally lacks combat application.
