Dragon Speaker (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Dragon Speaker
Prerequisites: Proficiency in arcana and knowing draconic language.
The ancient language of the dragons holds the key to unlocking greater magical potential. Through your mastery of Draconic, you can tap into this primal magic to enhance your spellcasting abilities. You gain the following benefits:
- Draconic Incantation: When casting a spell, if you use Draconic as part of the verbal components, the spell’s range, duration, or area of effect (choose one) increases by 50%. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
- Draconic Power Surge: When you cast a spell using Draconic as the verbal component, you can increase its power. The spell’s damage increases by a number of dice equal to your proficiency bonus. Additionally, if the spell forces a saving throw, the saving throw DC increases by 2.
- Arcane Resonance: Your deep understanding of the ancient Draconic language enhances your spell control. You gain a +1 bonus to your spell attack rolls and your spell save DC increases by 1 when casting spells with verbal components in Draconic.
- Lingering Magic: After casting a spell with verbal components in Draconic, you can extend its effects slightly. Any beneficial spell cast on yourself or an ally lasts an additional round (up to 1 minute). You can use this feature once per short or long rest.
- Dragon’s Voice: You can cast Detect Magic or Identify without expending a spell slot once per long rest, as long as you speak the incantation in Draconic.
