Divine Sightbearer (5e Epic Boon)
From D&D Wiki
Divine Sightbearer[edit]
Prerequisite: Devotion to a particular Deity
Due to your extreme devotion, the Deity you worship has deemed you worthy to be their eyes on the material plane. For as long as you uphold their will, you gain the following benefits:
- You have Truesight out to a range of 60ft
- You can cast each of the following spells once, regaining the ability to do so at dawn: Commune, Scrying, and Arcane Eye
- (When you cast Scrying or Arcane Eye with this boon, you have truesight with a radius of 60 feet centered on that spell's sensor or eye)
In addition to the above benefits, being the eyes of a Deity is a heavy responsibility. At any time, your Deity can choose to see through your eyes and speak through your mouth. Although this is rare, the following effects occur while a Deity inhabits your body:
- You become Blinded, Deafened, and Incapacitated.
- Your Deity can see through your eyes and hear what you hear. Additionally, the Deity can speak through your mouth, in an overpowering voice.
- Your Deity can enact Divine Intervention through you. If they choose to do so, their intervention succeeds automatically, no roll required.
