Would you allow the use of 3.0 books in a 3.5 campaign?[edit]

Does the Wizard of the Coast says what can be considered `valid' in a 3.5 campaign of the old books related to D&D 3.0? For example `Oriental Adventures' is still good for 3.5?

I think there is still material that is fine even with the 3.5 rules, overall about races. (Everything started about the idea of playing a Vanara)

I was wondering if there is some kind of `official answer' about what is still good in 3.0. If not, what do you think?

Thanks for any insight.

Yes, the "official" rule is that any 3.0 material that hasn't been updated to 3.5 in some way is still "legal" in a 3.5 game.

As an example, the feat Monkey Grip originally appeared in the 3.0 book Sword and Fist. That feat can also be found in the 3.5 book Complete Warrior. You should use the 3.5 version. Oriental Adventures has not been updated to 3.5, so everything in that book would be the "official" version.

Thanks a lot.[edit]

The "official" answer is really the one of good sense: use the newer if exits use the old otherwise.

Foe example the Wu Jen prestige class should be taken from `Complete Arcane,' instead the Vanara Race can be taken from the good old `Oriental Adventures.'

Thanks!
